Week 13 November 6th-10th
File Share Tip: Rather than submitting the assignments each night you can scan them all into one document and share them all at once on Friday! Please name your files with week and subject. example week 13 homework if you are sharing them in one file, or week 13 math if sharing them individually. Teachers prefer all pages in one file.
Your child’s school is participating in an exciting program that encourages students in grades K through 6 to read for fun. Read to Succeed is a free program sponsored by Six Flags Theme Parks. Every student who completes six hours of recreational reading (outside of required reading) before the school’s deadline noted below is eligible for a free admission ticket valid at one participating Six Flags Theme Park. Students will develop a greater appreciation for books when they see that you think reading is important too. You are sure to have fun as you investigate the world of reading together! Forms are due at the end of April! See attached forms |

Monday
ELA:
Raz Kids - Choose one story in your Raz-Kids. Listen to the story, read it yourself and if it has the quiz complete it on your own. (If you feel the book levels should be higher or lower please let us know.) Feel free to use Raz-kids for your reading log. See attached
Fluency passage-Students should be reading 60 words per minute at this point in the school year (see chart below). Please make sure you are printing out the fluency passage page and working on the fluency passage all week then filling out the timed reading chart. Continue to use the same chart from last week! Read the passage with your student discussing missed words, ask questions about the story, etc. (TOTAL time should be about 5 minutes!) Repeat Wednesday and Thursday (or any other two days!) Mrs. Chaize's Monday group will use the passage file that was e-mailed to you, use passage 3.6
